Salon Success!

At UP we love a challenge. So when our new client KeraStraight asked us to organise their Salon International press activity in just two weeks (including the concept and copywriting for a comprehensive press pack, securing the attendance of twenty beauty bloggers to experience their revolutionary Keratin smoothing systems and managing all media enquiries during the three day event), we pulled out all the stops to make it happen.

Our beauty PR boffins used their expertise to grant our clients’ wishes, resulting in high praise for the press pack, scores of delighted bloggers, plus press, photographers and even a film crew visiting the stand. Hair icon and KeraStraight Global Ambassador Trevor Sorbie MBE even stopped by to draw a competition we’d arranged, plus the lovely Andrew Barton posed for selfies with visitors too!

As well as our activity helping to generate close to a hundred tweets/social media posts, multiple positive blog features have already gone live (see an example here: ). With several more due to appear, we’re set to deliver the most extensive editorial results ever secured for the client’s presence at the show.

And it wasn’t just KeraStraight that experienced show success. British cosmetics brand Stargazer enjoyed storming sales and despite significantly increasing stock levels, Kent Brushes sold out of their professional KentSalon range for the third consecutive year. Plus, having secured a judging role for our salon client Charlotte Mensah on the popular HJ stand, the UP team were out in full force during the weekend to ensure all of our clients were well looked after.
