Oh What A Night! Celebrating The 60th L’Oréal Colour Trophy

For many of our team, Monday nights are often devoted to catching up on the latest episode of Game of Thrones or Revenge (R.I.P). But last night, it was all about The 60th Anniversary of prestigious hairdressing competition: The L’Oréal Colour Trophy!

Unleashed Potential MD Sharleen hot-footed it down to Evolution in Battersea to look after some of the press in attendance, plus see the winners announced including Simon Webster Hair, Brighton who scooped the MIZANI Afro Look Award 2015 (presented by our client Charlotte Mensah) and Abacus Hair who were the overall victors of the coveted L’Oréal Colour Trophy Award.

Hosted by radio presenter Lauren Laverne and with a special appearance by iconic model and face of L’Oréal ProfessionnelTwiggy, the evening saw hundreds of hairdressing professionals come together for the glamorous event.

The ceremony also included an incredible show from Trevor Sorbie MBE and his art team called ‘Tomorrow’s World’ which first gave a insight into the hair god’s creative process via a quirky video, then brought those concepts to life with a breathtaking spectacle which demonstrated why Mr. Sorbie is renowned as one of the best in the business.

Now that the awards have been claimed, as part of their prize we will be organising the shoot for the MIZANI winner to help generate widespread exposure. So, with that in mind, although we’d love to stay and chat, we’d better get back to planning the campaign. Oh and as there aren’t any client events this evening, if we get time we might catch up on last night’s TV too!
